I like to be prepared and to plan in advance. That's why I don't leave my holiday shopping to the last minute. Apparently, the folks at Matchbox, a division of the toy giant Mattel, feel the same way. They've designed and created a lovable and outspoken vehicle named Stinky the Garbage Truck, who's slated for release in July 2010. At first I wondered what a child might find attractive about a garbage truck, but once I met Stinky, I began to understand. While Stinky's job isn't first-class, his personality more than makes up for it. He isn't exactly crude, but does occasionally belch. Stinky eagerly gobbles up whatever is fed to him, including whole cars, with a hilarious running commentary. He even rears up on his hind wheels -- an imposing sight, to say the least!
